Terms of Service

Version 2026-06-20

This page is the deal between you and the team behind etugen.io (“etugen,” “we,” “us”) for using our threat-intelligence platform — the website, the dashboard, the API, and everything around them (the “Service”). It is a real, binding agreement, written plainly on purpose. You accept it the moment you tick the box at sign-up or use the Service. If any part of it doesn’t work for you, the answer is simple: don’t use the Service.

1. Who signs up, and your account

You need to be at least 18 and legally able to agree to this. Signing up for an organization? Then you’re telling us you’re allowed to commit it, and from here on “you” means that organization too. Your account is yours to guard: keep your password and API keys to yourself, and treat everything done under your login as done by you. If something looks off, tell us quickly — the faster we know, the more we can do.

2. What etugen is for

etugen gathers and organizes what is publicly visible about exposed infrastructure and hostile activity on the internet, so defenders, researchers, and investigators can do their work. It exists for lawful, authorized purposes — full stop. The product keeps moving: we add, change, pause, and retire features as we see fit, and nothing here promises that any particular feature will stay the way it is today.

3. Use it to defend, not to attack

So that this stays a defensive tool, you agree not to (and not to let anyone else):

  • use etugen to carry out, assist, or hide any unlawful act, intrusion, or attack against systems you have no permission to touch;
  • turn the data on people — to harass, smear, extort, stalk, or otherwise harm anyone or any organization;
  • resell, hand on, sublicense, publish, or spin a rival dataset or product out of etugen or its data without our written go-ahead;
  • scrape, bulk-pull, or systematically harvest beyond what your plan allows, or get around our limits, quotas, access controls, or protections;
  • take the Service apart — reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to recover its source, models, or methods — except where the law says we can’t stop you;
  • pretend to be someone you’re not, fake a tie to etugen, or mess with how the Service runs for everyone else.

Whether your use is legal where you operate is on you, and so is whatever you decide to do with what you find here.

4. What the data is (and what it isn’t)

Treat what you see as raw, machine-gathered signal — not a verdict. It comes from publicly reachable sources and third-party feeds, and we hand it to you exactly as it is: we don’t promise it is correct, complete, current, or right for whatever you have in mind, and none of it is legal, security, or operational advice. A host, domain, address, or file showing up in etugen is an automated observation, not us accusing anyone of anything. Confirm it yourself before you act on it.

5. What’s ours stays ours

The platform — the code behind it, the way it looks and behaves, and the way we select, shape, and arrange the data — belongs to etugen and is protected by law. While you have an account and stay within your plan, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Service for your own work; we can withdraw it. Anything we haven’t clearly handed you, we keep. Don’t copy, imitate, re-skin, frame, or build look-alikes of the Service or its design. “etugen,” “etugen.io,” and our logos are ours, and you’ll need our written permission to use them.

6. Plans, the API, and paying

Your tier, limits, and quotas are spelled out in the product and can change. Paid plans run through our payment processor; once paid, fees stay paid, except where the law requires a refund. We may meter, slow, or pause usage that runs past your plan or that we reasonably read as abuse. API keys are handed to you to keep secret — every call made with them counts as yours.

7. No promises about the Service

As far as the law lets us say so, the Service and its data come “as is” and “as available,” with no guarantees of any kind — nothing implied about merchantability, fitness for a purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or running without interruptions or errors. We don’t promise it will fit your needs or that every flaw gets fixed.

8. Where our liability ends

To the maximum the law allows, etugen and the people who run it won’t be on the hook for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, tied to your use of — or inability to use — the Service or its data. Add up every claim you might have against us and the total tops out at whichever is larger: what you actually paid us in the three months before the problem, or USD 100.

This cap and exclusion apply in full to anything arising from a security incident — including unauthorized access to, disclosure of, alteration of, loss of, or theft of data — and to the acts of third parties, such as attackers, service providers, or other users. We are not responsible for damage caused by anyone other than us, or by events outside our reasonable control. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle and protect information.

9. You cover us

If your use of etugen, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your breaking of a law or someone’s rights lands us with a claim, you’ll step in and cover it — defending us and paying the damages, costs, and reasonable legal fees that come with it.

10. Pausing or ending access

We can suspend or close your access at any time, with or without warning, if we reasonably think you’ve broken these Terms, put us at risk, or for other good reason. You can walk away whenever you like. The parts that are meant to outlast the relationship — what we own, the no-promises and liability-cap sections, and your duty to cover us — keep applying after you’re gone.

11. When these Terms change

We’ll revise these Terms now and then; when we do, the version above changes and anything significant gets sent to you by email or shown in the product. Keep using etugen after a change and you’ve accepted the new version.

12. The law that applies

These Terms run under the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, setting aside its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Türkiye are the place for any dispute about them or the Service, as far as the law permits.
