Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-19

This page explains what the team behind etugen.io (“etugen,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our threat-intelligence platform — the website, the dashboard, and the API (the “Service”) — what we do with it, and the choices you have. It is written plainly on purpose, and it goes together with our Terms of Service.

1. What we collect

Account details. Your email, your name, and a securely hashed form of your password. We never store your password in readable form.

Usage & security data. To run the Service and keep it safe, we record things like the searches and queries you make, the pages and files you open, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent, and timestamps. This is what lets us show your history, enforce plan limits, and stop abuse such as automated scraping.

Billing. When you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card details. We do not see or store your full card number — we keep only the billing status and identifiers needed to manage your subscription.

2. About the intelligence data in the platform

etugen indexes information from openly exposed and publicly reachable sources on the internet so security teams can find and respond to threats. That catalog is the product; it is not data we collect about you. This Privacy Policy is about the personal information tied to your account and your use of the Service.

3. How we use it

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, to authenticate you and keep your account secure, to apply your plan’s limits, to process payments, to prevent fraud and abuse, to answer your support requests, and to send you essential messages about your account (such as email verification and password resets). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies & sessions

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to sign you in and protect the Service: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and an anti-forgery (CSRF) cookie. These are required for the Service to work — we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the service providers that help us run etugen, and only so they can perform that job for us:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional email (verification, password reset, notifications).
  • Cloudflare — bot and abuse protection (the sign-in / sign-up challenge).

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of etugen, our users, and the public.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Security and usage logs are retained for a limited period for safety, auditing, and abuse investigation, then removed or anonymized. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except what we must keep for legal, tax, or security reasons.

7. Security — and its limits

We take security seriously: passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes, sessions use signed HTTP-only cookies, access to data is restricted and logged, and we run defenses against automated abuse and account takeover.

That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, etugen is not liable for any unauthorized access to, disclosure of, alteration of, loss of, or theft of data that occurs despite reasonable safeguards — including events outside our reasonable control, such as attacks on our providers, on the internet infrastructure, or on your own devices, credentials, or network. Keeping your password and API keys confidential is your responsibility, and you are responsible for everything done under your login.

If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will act promptly and notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it. This section works together with the disclaimers and the limitation of liability in our Terms of Service, which apply in full to this Policy.

8. Your choices & rights

You can review and update your account details from within the dashboard, and you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Write to us at the address below and we will help, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain certain records.

9. Children

The Service is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. The law that applies

This Policy runs under the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Where local data-protection law gives you additional rights, we honor them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We’ll revise this Policy now and then; when we do, the version above changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you’ve seen the update.
